Hi, my name is Jen Service and I am a certified massage therapist.

I received my training through the Santa Barbara Body Therapy Institute in Santa Barbara, California in 1998. Shortly after graduating, I moved to the US Virgin Islands where I practiced massage therapy, traveling to luxury villas, spas and sometimes boats to give massages to many sun drenched tourists. During my 20 years in the US Virgin Islands, when offered, I would attend continuing education workshops led by traveling teachers. I studied cranial sacral, Thai massage, Reiki and aromatherapy. I also studied holistic nutrition through Bauman College. I often use those techniques in my practice today, giving my client what I call, an integrative massage.

My desire to care for and comfort those who may be struggling or suffering has been with me since I was a child. As a young adult, I felt drawn to study massage therapy because I understood the healing power of touch. It has been proven to promote relaxation and boost a person’s self healing abilities physically, mentally and emotionally. I am fulfilled when I can partner with a client in their healing journey.

My husband, two kids and our island rescue dog, Martha Honey, moved to the Mad River Valley in 2020 after traveling North America in our RV for a year and a half. We love Vermont and love learning how to live in a completely new environment. My favorite thing about Vermont is the SEASONS! I find that seasons give you something to continually look forward to: winter brings the beauty of snow covered mountains and invigorating outdoor recreation, spring bursts forward with the greenest greens and the beauty of gardens everywhere you look, summer brings a bit of a sultry feel while hanging by the river or jumping in the pond and fall is just stunning with the vibrant glow of red, orange and yellow foliage as far as the eye can see. We are happily settling in and planting our roots here. I look forward to serving this beautiful community.
